RPx (& WAF) Generalist - Junior/Medior Security Engineer
Division: CISO
As a global critical financial infrastructure, the protection of Euroclear information and assets is fundamental to the company’s business. Security is at the core of our services, firmly embedded in the management systems and processes of the company. You will be joining our CISO Division – Platform Security department in charge of putting in place the required technical solution to protect effectively our applications.
You will join CISO Customer Security Operation & Security Engineering Team in the role of Junior / Medior Security Engineer for RPx (and WAF).
Role
- Install, support and maintain Reverse proxies, forward proxies and Web application firewalls.
- Participate in Projects related to security and business on the Euroclear roadmap.
- Resolve incidents related to security products and solution in place.
- Participate in the automation process and continuous improvement process.
- When onboarded, participate in the Watch Duty pool. (24/7/ on a rotating basis)
Hard Skills and Technical skills (Mandatory ones)
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix – Junior System Admin Engineer (RedHat) profile as a basis
- Network basics (Junior Network Admin) / Understanding the 7 layers of the OSI model.
- Reverse Proxies knowledge (e.g. Apache HTTPD)
- Knowledge and working experience on SSL/TLS integration
- PKI Basics knowledge
Nice to Have
- Scripting and Automation experience
- Knowledge of Authentication technologies. (SAML/AUTH/…)
- Ansible experience
Assets
- Agile, Scrum, Devops methodologies knowledge or experience are assets
- Azure Clouds WAF and Cloudflare are assets
- Development: Python (other languages are an asset)

- Able to build his own helicopter view before digging into the details (in complex analysis situations)
- Eager to learn and evolve – Like to color a blank page. Ability to search and to reach autonomy in a complex environment.

- Understanding the risk aversion concept (Risks/Benefits analysis)
Location : After the covid crisis, the employee must be ready to come on-site in Euroclear office 4 days (FOUR DAYS) to 8 (EIGHT) days per month AND also when needed for specific meetings or workshops. Teleworking was temporary situation to cover COVID-19 Crisis.
