The Opportunity:

The Post Holder is required to provide a comprehensive, effective and highly confidential support service to the Forensic Doctors (Pathologists) in support of the Department’s medico-legal obligations to the Crown Office and to the Procurator Fiscals in major areas of Scotland - Central, Fife, Forth Valley, Lothian and Borders.

This post is fixed term (12 months) and full-time (35 hours per week), with the possibility of further extension. 

The salary for this post is UE05 £28,879 to £33,232 per annum.

  • Competence in MS office packages, email, internet etc
  • Ability to use initiative and accept a degree of responsibility for skilled work
  • Remain calm under pressure

  • Maintain confidentiality
  • High standard of accuracy (reports may be used in court proceedings).
