Division: Enterprise Architecture

You will be joining the Enterprise Architecture (EA) division at Euroclear, a leading post-trade financial market infrastructure.
The EA division is an expert and multi-disciplinary group of architects responsible for:
- Defining the enterprise architecture directions & standards, aligned to the company strategies & goals;
- Defining the investment themes to develop or transform the IT capabilities supporting the business units’ strategies;
- Maintaining a multi-year strategic investment plan & technology roadmap and advising on IT investment decisions;
- Steering the definition & realisation of capabilities and solutions to support business objectives (process, applications, data and technology) in alignment with the enterprise architecture directions.
You will be joining the ‘Core Business Capabilities squad’, in charge of managing the architecture for our Core Business Capabilities (such as Collateral, Funds…). As an Enterprise Architect, you will guide the execution of the Corporate & IT Strategy and IT Transformation for this area.
You will deliver and contribute to the following architectural services:
Strategy Enablement- Assembling and analysing strategic Business and IT objectives and demonstrating understanding of external industry and market trends, to figure out potential impact on the enterprise’s strategy, direction, and architecture
- Lead analysis of current and future-state capabilities and IT environment to detect gaps and opportunities, assess new technologies, and recommend solutions for improvement to drive the enterprise towards its targeted outcomes.
- Facilitating Business and IT alignment and supporting the translation into an executable change roadmap that will realise the strategic objectives and deliver the targeted value outcomes, requiring close collaboration with a wide range of collaborators.
- Delivering target and/or transition architectures and standards and ensuring they are properly maintained and governed, providing viable options and visibility of strategic direction and implications for the enterprise and for steering of delivery.
- Providing transparency on the progress of the capability implementation and alignment with established targets and intended roadmaps.
- Providing transparency on the evolution of Technology Debt and the planning and implementation of mitigation and remediation actions.
- Developing clear standards, reference architecture patterns, principles and guardrails, through the EA governance model, to support effective and efficient decision-making and provide clarity for delivery initiatives.
- Collaborating with security, delivery and infrastructure teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, to use shared technologies, tools and processes where appropriate, and provide continuous feedback towards the further evolution of the enterprise architecture.
- Providing consultative advice and support, adapted to collaborator context, to business leaders and organisational collaborators who seek actionable recommendations to support decision-making on strategy, delivery, M&A and/or other relevant topics.
- Collaborating with other architects and supporting delivery of transversal architectural topics and contributing to a positive working environment.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of architectural practice and effective delivery of architectural services.

- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in understanding and knowledge of business and technology operating models, analysis of costs and benefits, security and risk management, information and data management, systems development methodologies, and agile principles and frameworks, and/or IT service delivery, infrastructure, and operations.
- You have 5 years of experience in two or more of the following disciplines:
- Application Development
- Business Architecture
- Business Analysis
- Enterprise Architecture
- Information and Data Architecture
- Solution and Technical Architecture
- Security and Resiliency Architecture
- Strategy Development and Consulting
- Product Development
- You have experience within the Financial Services industry, ideally knowledgeable in Funds or Collateral Management business services. And you understand the complexity of the regulatory environment – considered as a plus.
- You are certified in an Enterprise Architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF) and are familiar with Enterprise Architecture tools – considered as an advantage.
