Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)

Main objective of this Tribe is to deliver Euroclear customers frontend services and products, in a reliable and stable manner, to supervise their activities, enable reporting and allow transactions execution. Your role will be to lead two squads within the tribe: 

DES Environment: focused on the environment on which our applications are running:

  • Continuous improvements related to the test / production environments
  • Test environment availability and maintenance
  • Release support: no regression testing, performance testing, PPE & PROD launches 
  • Developer environment availability and maintenance
  • Set up and maintenance of deployment pipelines
  • Supporting projects with environment related topics

DES Asset Servicing: focused on functional delivery for asset servicing business line:

  • Contributing to external and internal projects (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Maintaining the documentation up to date
  • Setting up new projects, accountable for design, estimations and delivery planning
  • Predictable delivery, and also in line with IT Controls 
  • Proving production support within agreed SLA, and the correct delivery of PRB resolution 

General Job description: 

Working within corporate strategies and policy frameworks, leads & coordinates the activities of an IT organizational unit to meet company`s business requirements. These activities include the design and implementation of IT strategies, guidelines and procedures.

Your Role:

  • Ensures (may ensure) that the design, selection, development and maintenance of business application systems are successfully integrated and operated within the company’s business environment
  • Oversees (may ensure) the design and implementation of an assigned technology as well as the integration and performance of all local area networks for the organization
  • Coordinates the use of internal technical support personnel and vendor support to provide higher levels of problem solving maintenance, and an efficient end-user support
  • Leads (may lead) the management, monitoring, and improvement of both existing and new IT processes like organizational change, release management and incident management
  • Manages a subset of a large organizational unit or an entity, having a direct and controlling impact on the results of this sub-unit, with accountability for the tactical direction and mid-term planning of the activities required to achieve these results
  • Takes decisions based on judgment within the scope of the defined strategy
  • Manages, motivates and assesses performance of a team of IT professionals
  • Supervises and manages the performance of diverse activities that is precise as to content and objective and requiring awareness of related activities in order to operate within a short/medium time frame
  • Outputs are subject to periodic review against targets
  • Build the environment strategy of the future
  • Improve, maintain and control the environment quality
  • Manage the capacity for the squad, and how it is used on delivery for the squad 
  • Understand & managing delivery / team risks 
  • Support the team in the delivery and its preparation

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Being able to communicate/share information with technical and non-technical streams
  • Decision-making capacity in sophisticated and uncertain environment
  • In-depth understanding of business strategy, needs and challenges
  • Deep experience in leading large and sophisticated program
  • Ability to empower the team
  • Servant leadership for the Tribe leadership and delivery teams
  • Organizational skills and structured approach
  • Autonomous in problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key collaborators (various and high seniority)
  • Holistic and strategic view
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational initiatives
  • Breadth of business and technical understanding, gained over long exposure (over 10 years at least) to a wide variety of infrastructure and application projects, and the social skills to influence decisions taken at a very senior level
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in working with international team spread across different locations
